Privacy Policy

Habita is built around one principle: your inner life is yours. We collect as little as possible and never sell your data.

1. What we collect

When you use Habita, the following data may be collected:

  • Mood entries and journal data you create in the app
  • Anonymous usage analytics (e.g. which features are used, app opens)
  • If you choose to sign in: your name, email, and profile photo from your social account (Apple, Google, etc.)

You can use Habita completely anonymously. Social sign-in is optional and only used to enable cloud sync across your devices.

2. How your data is stored

Your data is synced and stored securely using Google Firebase. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not store data on our own servers outside of Firebase.

3. Third-party services

Habita uses the following third-party services:

  • Google Firebase — authentication, database, and cloud sync
  • Apple Pay & Google Pay — in-app purchases (payment details are handled entirely by Apple/Google and are never seen or stored by us)
  • Analytics — anonymous usage data to help us improve the app

4. What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data to anyone
  • We don't share your data with third parties for advertising
  • We don't use your journal entries for any purpose other than showing them back to you
  • We don't track you across other apps or websites

5. Your rights

You have full control over your data:

  • Delete all your data at any time from within the app
  • Request a copy of your data by contacting us
  • Use the app anonymously without creating an account

If you're in the UK or EU, you have additional rights under UK GDPR / EU GDPR, including the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@gethabita.com.

6. Children's privacy

Habita is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app. The latest version will always be available on this page.
